Institute for Chemical Research, Kyoto University
International Joint Usage Research CenterICR-iJURC Short-term Exchange Program
In September 2011, the Institute for Chemical Research (ICR) started a unique financial and academic support program for young researchers who:
1) Are affiliated with the ICR (including graduate students) and visit overseas research institute (from 2 to 12 weeks) or
2) Are affiliated with overseas research institutes and visit the ICR to conduct research activities (from 2 to 12 weeks)
Applications (incoming and outgoing) are reviewed quarterly to select recipients. If needed, extra period-evaluation is conducted, making this program flexible and expedient. This program assumes that the overseas institutes that the incoming international researchers are affiliated with and those that the outgoing ICR researchers visit have concluded a Memorandum of Understanding for Collaboration, but this memorandum is not a requirement to apply.
