On November 21-23, 2024, the international workshop “Japan-Taiwan Initiatives for Quantum Matters and Carbon Neutral : ICR-CCMS MoU Renewal Workshop”, hosted by Prof. SHIMAKAWA, Yuichi (Advanced Solid State Chemistry) and Prof. Ming-Wen Chu, the director of the Center for Condensed Matter Sciences (CCMS), National Taiwan University, was held at National Taiwan University in Taipei, as a part of the ICR Weeks.
The CCMS and ICR, have been collaborating in the fields of solid-state chemistry and solid-state physics since 2014, when they signed a MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) to work together on the synthesis of new materials and the evaluation of new physical properties. This workshop, held on the occasion of the renewal of the five-year MoU in April 2024, was an opportunity for the two institutions to exchange views and ideas on how further to develop their existing exchanges and joint research activities.
