On November 29, 2024, the international conference “Shanghai-Kyoto Chemistry Forum”, hosted by Prof. UESUGI, Motonari (Chemical Biology) and Prof. OHKI, Yasuhiro (Organometallic Chemistry) was held at the Obaku Plaza on the Uji Campus as a part of the ICR Weeks.
The forum is an international conference that aims to develop strategies for sharing research resources and equipment and identifying joint research opportunities utilizing the Kyoto University Shanghai Lab (Kyoto University On-site Laboratory), which was established in 2019. To commemorate the 5th anniversary of the establishment of the Kyoto University Shanghai Lab, ICR hosted the 4th Shanghai-Kyoto Chemistry Forum 2024 at the Uji Campus, Kyoto University, inviting faculty members from Fudan University. Ten professors from ICR, Kyoto University and nine professors from Fudan University participated, presenting their research results in the fields of new materials, energy conversion, and chemical biology, and exploring effective research resources and research cooperation between the two universities as well as deepening exchanges.
