On January 15th 2024, 20 students and 3 professors from The California State University San Marcos visited Bioinformatics Center, ICR.

Professor OGATA Hiroyuki gave a general introduction of the Bioinformatics Center and his laboratory, and then Specially Appointed Professor Minoru Kanehisa gave an introduction about Kanehisa Laboratories and KEGG (Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes). They also went on guided tours of the SuperComputer Systems. Afterwards, the Mamitsuka Laboratory and the Akutsu Laboratory gave research presentations. It was a very friendly meeting and meaningful time.
