Synthetic technique of Associate Professor Atsushi Goto has been implemented to commercial production of polymers (22 December 2014)

Associate Professor Atsushi Goto (Laboratory of Molecular Materials Chemistry) and Dainichiseika Color & Chemicals Mfg. Co. Ltd. collaborate for developing high-performance color materials by taking advantage of a new polymerization technique, organo-catalyzed living radical polymerization, developed by Goto. Dainichiseika has started commercial production of the color materials in manufacturing scales.

This collaboration research is supported by A-STEP (Adaptable and Seamless Technology transfer Program through target-driven R&D) program of JST (Japan Science Technology agency) in Japan.

This achievement appears in a JST leaflet “Selected Achievements A-STEP 2014”.
